An opportunity to join the Unit 42 Foothills Medical Center Gynecology & Oncology nursing team working within the Collaborative Care nursing model. We strive to provide safe, compassionate, patient and family centered care, specializing in woman’s health. Working to full scope of practice, the Licensed Practice Nurse - Unit 42 provides nursing assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care for patients to promote, maintain and restore health. The role includes patient handling and lifting, as well as performing clinical skills and specialized clinical competencies independently for the patient population. As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level and AHS policies and procedures. Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:
recent gynecology/oncology Surgery experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
recent acute surgical experience and a commitment to women's health and the gynecology patient population.
