Options for Sexual Health is British Columbia's largest sexual and reproductive health service organization, providing comprehensive, non-judgmental clinical, education and information services in a "pro-choice" context. This dynamic organization has a history of over 50 years of skilled and ethical care. Services are offered for all ages, all genders, and all orientations. This clinic is in Whistler and runs on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Role Overview
The Medical Office Receptionist is essential in creating a welcoming and efficient clinic environment. This role serves as the first point of contact for patients, supporting both administrative functions and clinic operations. By ensuring smooth communication between patients and staff, the receptionist helps maintain an organized workflow while upholding confidentiality and professionalism in a healthcare setting.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Greeting clients
- Facilitating clinic and client flow
- Handling monies and assisting with contraceptive supplies
- Assisting with other clinic administrative duties and support
- Monitoring and tracking service statistics
- Assist with patient scheduling and help set up exam rooms as needed to support clinic operations.
- Help patient’s complete intake forms and ensure proper documentation.
Qualifications
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a busy clinic environment
- Be non-judgmental an pro-choice
- Comfortable speaking with people about their sexual health concerns
- Able to consistently engage with clients in a warm, caring, confidential, and respectful manner
- Possess organizational and administrative skills, including basic computer skills
- Able to work independently and as part or a team
- Knowledge in sexual and reproductive health is an asset
Compensation Type: The position pays $17.85 per hour, which includes 4% vacation pay in lieu of time off (6% after two ears).
