Salary range: $4966.90 to $6980.10 p.a. (L4-L9, L10-L13)
4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
12.75% employer contribution to superannuation

About your opportunity
The Advanced Trainee/ Registrar provides clinical care for people presenting with sexually transmitted infections (STIs), HIV, viral hepatitis, transgender and reproductive health issues (including the provision of medical terminations of pregnancy), as well as other sexual health related conditions. The Advanced Trainee /Registrar is also involved with education and teaching, and supervision of junior staff. Someone who is a trainee in the Australian Chapter of Sexual Health Medicine, or who plans to become a trainee would be welcomed to the role.
Requirements:
Mandatory qualifications and proof of registration
Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration with the appropriate registration authority (AHPRA), including any necessary endorsements, to be provided to the employing service prior to the commencement of duty.
Highly regarded: The ability to deliver culturally appropriate sexual health clinical care (incorporating sexually transmissible infections, HIV, Hepatitis B & C, and fertility control) in a specialist environment working within a collaborative practice model of care.
Experience in other infectious diseases, sexual counselling, health education, epidemiology, and computer literacy are desirable.
Highly regarded: The ability to provide leadership, and to assist in training staff and students.
This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
