Ideal Candidate Profile
We are looking for a strategic and compassionate leader who brings a combination of nonprofit experience, financial acumen, and the ability to translate a big-picture vision into actionable steps. The ideal candidate should meet the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field with a strong understanding of maternal and child well-being, faith-based leadership, and organizational growth.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in nonprofit leadership and program management.
- Strong strategic planning skills, with the ability to break down long-term goals into achievable milestones and implement effective processes to track progress.
- A proven record of achieving program deliverables and operational goals within an organization.
- Experience in supervisory and leadership roles, with a commitment to mentoring and guiding teams.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail.
- Experience in fundraising and donor relations, with knowledge of grants, sponsorships, and financial partnerships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Docs, Zoom, and Gmail for effective communication and administrative management.
- Strong writing abilities with a keen eye for clarity, persuasion, and strategic communication across various platforms.
- Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to develop and maintain partnerships with community organizations and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of budgeting and financial oversight within a nonprofit setting.
- A clear Criminal Record Check, completed through the Criminal Records Review Program.
- Commitment to Care for Women’s Statement of Faith* and mission, ensuring alignment with the organization's values and guiding principles.
Key Responsibilities will Include:
Strategic Leadership
- Lead or delegate weekly prayer, devotionals or Bible reading with staff to encourage spiritual growth and unity in alignment with the organization’s Statement of Faith*.
- Develop and implement a strategic plan in collaboration with the Board of Directors.
- Foster organizational growth and expansion into new locations.
- Develop organizational work structure through accountability and organizational charts.
- Provide visionary leadership, ensuring alignment with the mission and values of Care for Women.
- Monitor progress toward strategic goals and adjust priorities as needed.
Organizational Management
- Recruit, train and evaluate staff
- Conduct yearly performance reviews
- Foster a collaborate and equitable workplace culture
- Oversee managerial and lead positions.
- Implement professional development initiatives to strengthen the team.
Financial Oversight and Fundraising
- Develop and manage the annual budget, ensuring financial sustainability.
- Secure new funding streams, including grants, corporate partnerships, church partnerships, and private donor investments.
- Oversee financial reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Program Management and Impact
- Ensure programs align with the needs of the community and Care for Women’s mission.
- Develop measurable outcomes and track program effectiveness through KPIs.
- Oversee the development of policies and best practices for program delivery.
Community and Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the primary spokesperson for Care for Women, increasing visibility and outreach.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with community organizations and government agencies.
- Represent the organization at events, conferences, and policy discussions.
Board Relations and Governance
- Work closely with the Board Chair to ensure effective governance.
- Prepare reports, agendas, and recommendations for board meetings.
- Assist in recruiting and onboarding new board members.
