Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Consultant Obstetrician & Gynecologist to provide specialized care for women across all stages of life. The ideal candidate will offer expert clinical and surgical management of pregnancy, reproductive health, and gynecological conditions. You will work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment to ensure safe, evidence-based care and optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide expert medical care related to pregnancy, childbirth, and reproductive health.
Perform normal and high-risk deliveries, including Cesarean sections and other obstetric surgeries.
Conduct gynecological procedures such as hysterectomies, myomectomies, and laparoscopies.
Diagnose and treat reproductive system disorders, including infertility and menstrual irregularities.
Collaborate with the fertility team for evaluation and treatment of infertility cases.
Offer preconception, prenatal, and postnatal counseling and care.
Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in line with clinical standards.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, quality assurance, and case audits.
Mentor junior doctors and medical interns to build clinical expertise.
Engage in continuous professional development and stay abreast of OB-GYN advancements.
Requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
MBBS or equivalent from a recognized institution.
Fellowship in Obstetrics & Gynecology (FWACS, FMCOG, MRCOG, or equivalent).
Valid practicing license from the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
Minimum of 5 years post-fellowship experience in clinical practice.
Proficient in both obstetric and gynecological surgical procedures.
Additional experience in fertility services or maternal-fetal medicine is an advantage.
Strong decision-making, leadership, and patient communication skills.
