drive innovation in translational research
About The Role
As an
Embryologist/Research Technician, you will be responsible for performing key
in vivo and in vitro assays to assess the efficacy of our therapeutic approaches. This will include superovulating animals, collecting oocytes, performing
in vitro culture with our proprietary technology, and evaluating embryo development. Additionally, you will contribute to
product development efforts and collaborate closely with our scientific team across
multiple research platforms to drive innovation in reproductive health.
We are looking for a detail-oriented, hands-on researcher who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys working with animal models, and has a strong background in reproductive biology and embryology techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute research projects focused on evaluating our cell-based therapies.
- Perform superovulation protocols in animal models (mice and/or rats) to obtain high-quality oocytes.
- Isolate and culture oocytes and embryos, ensuring optimal conditions for in vitro maturation and fertilization.
- Conducts sperm preparation for IVF.
- Conduct IVF (conventional) and ICSI techniques to assess embryo development potential.
- Support the formulation and optimization of in vitro culture media to enhance oocyte and embryo developmental potential.
- Maintain high-quality laboratory records and ensure compliance with research standards, safety procedures, and protocols.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance project goals and align research with Gameto's platform.
- Contribute to scientific discussions and present research findings in team meetings.
- Identify emerging technologies and contribute to strategic planning for scientific initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in cell biology, molecular biology, biomedical engineering, or a related field is required.
- 2+ years of hands-on laboratory experience working with rodent models, ovarian tissue, and/or IVF techniques.
- Proficiency in oocyte collectionin vitro fertilization (IVF), and/or intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI)
- Strong aseptic technique and experience working in sterile environments (e.g., embryology, cell culture).
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects in parallel.
- Experience working in a GLP or regulated clinical/research setting is a plus but not required.
- Outstanding communication skills, with experience preparing scientific reports and presentations.
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.
- Passion for reproductive biology and women's health research.
