Outreach Specialist – Women’s Care Center Bismarck
Women's Care Center is the nation's largest pregnancy resource center. Founded by a Catholic theologian in 1984, this organization now serves 40,000 women annually from 37 centers in 12 states. Our mission is to help pregnant women choose life for their babies, have healthier pregnancies, become better parents, and take first steps to self-sufficiency.
To help advance our mission, we are seeking an Outreach Specialist to support the development efforts in our local community, working closely with the Executive Director.
- Cultivate Community Support: Build and maintain a strong network of donors through personalized outreach, including mailings and nurturing phone calls. Focus on growing the donor base and encouraging supporters to deepen their engagement.
- Plan and Execute Events: Work with Executive Director to plan and executive Luxury Bingo, including securing sponsorships, managing invitations, and expanding the event’s reach and impact. Includes Giving Hearts Day and additional outreach events as needed.
- Promote the Mission: Share the organization’s mission with local churches and community impact groups to generate additional awareness and support.
- Administrative and Staff Support: Provide administrative support to the Executive Director and assist team members during times of heavy workload, as needed.
Other Responsibilities:
- Manage donor relationships with an entrepreneurial mindset, working collaboratively with the executive director and client care team.
- Establish and maintain an organized system to manage all aspects of your role, including maintaining a procedures manual.
- Prepare and execute donor communications, including appeal letters, mailings, thank-you notes, tax receipts, and event materials with high attention to detail.
- Perform basic accounting duties, including simple bookkeeping and banking tasks.
- Become resident expert in our donor databases, ensuring donor and gift information is accurate and input in a timely manner. Demonstrate high level of confidentiality with donor information.
- Assist with managing volunteers who provide support for outreach initiatives.
Education: Bachelor’s degree
Experience: Preferred background in development, sales, or marketing. Passion, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to learn are highly valued—training is provided.
