Centerpoint Health (CPH) is an FQHC (Federally Qualified Health Center) operating in Butler and Warren County, OH. We provide affordable, high quality, accessible primary care, OB/GYN, and integrated behavioral health services in the Franklin and Middletown communities. Position Summary
- The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) serves as the strategic and operational leader of Centerpoint Health, a federally qualified health center (FQHC), and is responsible for ensuring high-quality, accessible, and comprehensive care and support services to underserved populations for primary care, obstetrics, gynecology, behavioral health, and pharmacy. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the CEO is accountable for the overall performance, compliance, and sustainability of the organization, including clinical excellence, financial management, regulatory adherence, workforce development, community engagement, and mission alignment. Through a collaborative partnership with the Board of Directors, the CEO works to ensure that the organization fulfills its vision, mission, goals, and strategic direction by effectively managing all key components of organization’s operations
Key Responsibilities.
Strategic Leadership & Vision
- Develop, communicate, and execute the organization’s strategic plan in alignment with its mission and community health needs.
- Foster a culture of innovation, equity, accountability, and patient-centered care.
- Serve as a visible and engaged community leader and advocate for health equity and the FQHC model.
- Ensures the Board receives timely, transparent reporting on operations, finances, clinical quality, and risk management activities, with more detailed communication provided to the Board Chair and Executive Committee.
- Assists the Board with recruitment and orientation of new board members with appropriate skill and representation.
Financial Management:
- Provide fiscal oversight to ensure financial sustainability and transparency to board of directors.
- Develop and manage annual budgets, grant funding, and operational performance metrics.
- Diversify revenue streams through strategic partnerships, grants, and service expansion.
Operations & Clinical Oversight
- Oversee delivery of integrated health services including medical (adult and pediatric), behavioral health, and enabling services.
- Collaborate with the Chief Medical Officer and clinical leadership to maintain high standards of care, patient safety, and quality improvement.
- Ensure accreditation and compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations and requirements.
Human Resource & Organizational Development
- Lead, inspire, and support a diverse, mission-driven team.
- Foster an inclusive, respectful workplace that promotes employee engagement and professional development.
- Develop, maintain, and strengthen a workplace culture that centers CPH values and vision.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, Federal and State HR requirements, and best practices in workforce management
Community & Stakeholder Engagement
- Cultivate partnerships with community organizations, government agencies, payers, funders, and advocacy groups.
- Represent the health center in local, state, and national forums to advance public health priorities and policy.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Health Administration, Public Health, Business Administration, or related field required.
- Previous FQHC experience, preferably in leadership roles.
- Minimum 7–10 years of senior leadership experience in a healthcare setting, preferably within a community health center, FQHC, or nonprofit organization.
- Proven track record in strategic planning, operations, financial stewardship, and staff leadership.
- Strong understanding of FQHC regulations, compliance, funding mechanisms (including Section 330 grant requirements), and value-based care models.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Commitment to health equity, diversity, and the mission of serving underserved populations.
- Good listening skills and ability to work with staff to gather input and implement recommendations as appropriate.
- High level of emotional intelligence.
- Passion for the vision, purpose, and mission of FQHCs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with HRSA site visits, FTCA coverage, PCMH certification, and UDS reporting.
- Knowledge of integrated care models, EHR systems (e.g., eClinicalWorks, NextGen), and managed care environments.
- Bilingual or bicultural skills are a plus.
- Proven track record of leading through change, and being adaptable and flexible.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salary based on experience and market benchmarks
- Starting range $130,000 - $180,000
