Position Qualifications:
Minimum
Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling and at least two years of experience in a social service setting. Professional certification/licensure in the respective field. Positive attitude and openness to supporting people in crisis. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Must maintain punctual and regular work attendance.
Preferred
Master’s degree and licensure in Counseling or related field and three or more years of experience in a social service setting. Bilingual in Spanish and English.
Primary Functions:
· Provide trauma-informed care to survivors of family and sexual violence, including crisis intervention and individual, family, and group counseling.
· Provide case management, advocacy, information, referral, and accompaniment.
· Maintain appropriate caseload.
· Create a safety/stabilization plan and makes emergency and non-emergency referrals to outside agencies. Provides information regarding services in other agency programs.
· Communicate special concerns about clients to appropriate staff as needed.
· Enter client data entry into Osnium to assure complete and accurate records.
· Communicate with clients and staff with a positive attitude and willingness to help.
· Develop working relationships internally and with external agencies.
· Must be resourceful and have the ability to make decisions in a timely efficient manner using the training and guidance provided.
· Assist in training new staff, volunteers, and student interns.
· Implement and facilitate weekly support and life skills groups.
· Provide other services in crisis and emergency situations as needed.
· Increase awareness about domestic violence and sexual assault.
· In compliance with guidelines, informally screen and identify survivors with acute mental health and chemical dependency needs and provide appropriate information, advocacy, and referrals.
· Participate in case discussions and attends program staff meetings.
· Adheres to all program and agency policies as well as to all applicable professional licensing standards.
· All other duties as assigned.

Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
