Job title: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) OB and Med Surg
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Travel Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Obstetrics (OB) and Medical Surgical (Med Surg) care to join our team. This individual will travel to various healthcare facilities to provide expert nursing care to patients in labor and delivery, postpartum, antepartum, and medical surgical units.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide direct patient care and support to women during childbirth, recovery, and postpartum period
- Monitor fetal and maternal well-being during labor and delivery
- Assist with surgical procedures and post-operative care for patients in the medical-surgical unit
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
- Educate patients and families on childbirth, postpartum care, and medical-surgical conditions
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement care plans
- Assess patient conditions, record patient data, and report any changes to healthcare providers
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
- Adhere to hospital policies and procedures to ensure patient safety and quality care
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license in the state of practice
- Minimum of 2 years of recent clinical experience in OB and Medical-Surgical nursing
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt to new environments and work effectively in diverse settings
- Willingness to travel to different healthcare facilities
- Collaboration and teamwork skills
- Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care
