Wirral Single Point of Access are looking to recruit a number of experienced, qualified Mental Health Nurses. We are a dynamic assessment and signposting service for all new referrals into secondary care mental health services from the age of 18 upwards, and therefore includes working with adults and older adults, assessing organic and functional mental health problems.
Ideally the post holder will have 1-year minimum post registration experience and will be expected to work using a high level of expertise within the multidisciplinary team and should have sound working knowledge of the current spectrum of mental health disorders and the Mental Health Act. We are looking for highly skilled and competent practitioners, who are motivated and committed to delivering quality care with excellent communication and person-centred skills.
The service operates from 8am-6pm, Monday to Friday, and is Wirral wide. This position requires travel across a wide geographical area so access to a car for work and a full driving license are essential for the post.

The Mental Health Nurse must demonstrate a high level of clinical skills, experience of working within Mental Health at least to a band 5 level.
We are looking for highly skilled and competent nurses, who are motivated and committed to delivering quality care with excellent communication and person-centred skills. Report writing and the ability to assess complex patients is essential.
You will be an autonomous, independent practitioner within a small but dynamic team, and as this post involves working across a wide geographical area access to transport for work purposes is essential. In addition, the post holder will support the team in the continued transformation of Community Mental Health Services.
