Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Sonographer to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations, ensuring patient comfort, and providing accurate imaging results to assist in medical diagnoses. This role requires excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and medical staff.
Duties
- Perform diagnostic sonography procedures including abdominal, obstetric and gynecological ultrasounds
- Utilize ultrasound equipment to capture images of internal organs and structures for evaluation by physicians.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during examinations by explaining procedures and answering questions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to aseptic techniques.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to discuss findings and provide comprehensive patient care.
- Stay updated on advancements in sonography technology and techniques to enhance diagnostic capabilities.
Experience
- Proven experience in sonography or a related field is preferred
- Familiarity with diagnostic radiology practices and patient care protocols.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively convey information to patients and team members.
- Graduation from an accredited sonography program or equivalent required. Must be OB/GYN certified with ARDMS
