Trans Ova Genetics, a leader is advanced reproductive technology, is seeking a Dairy Consultant to drive growth and profitability through strategic sales and account management from the sales of Trans Ova's services and embryo products.
In this position, you will support a population of dairy clients in the South Dakota, North Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa and Nebraska, with the focus along the I-29 Corridor. Occasionally this position will be called upon to support sales efforts in the central US, including Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, and Texas. This position will collaborate with Trans Ova's Lead Dairy Consultant to analyze dairy herds’ reproductive health and genetic data to provide cutting-edge reproductive strategies for profitability, efficiency, and genetic advancement.

Key Responsibilities
- This position will participate in URUS’s commercial dairy suite by identify marketing events and media opportunities, represent Trans Ova at dairy industry conferences and participate in dairy cross-selling events with URUS brands sales teams.
- Develops an area business plan organizing the array of responsibilities, activities, and information to create a territory action plan designed to grow our commercial dairy business by meeting both margin and volume targets.
- Develops in concert with assigned territory Regional Business Manager and Commercial Operation team annual strategic key account plans including demographics, economics, performance, potential, actionable items, tracking and reporting for commercial dairy accounts.
- Offers strategic long term problem-solving solutions to dairy clients, creating mutually beneficial opportunities for Trans Ova Genetics and other URUS brands.
- Provide support to Regional Business Managers and other URUS brands in their efforts to provide dairy clients with reproductive and genetic strategies for profitability and growth.
- Able to identify needs and use a consultive sales approach to foster long term relationships with dairy clients to fully integrate Trans Ova’s services and products.
- Calls on targeted commercial dairy clients and can quantify and qualify opportunities to drive investments to secure business relationships.
- Serves as the local Dairy account expert sharing expertise with assigned Professional Service Team, Client Service Representative, Operations and Regional Business Manager.
- Utilizes excellent presentation skills to conduct educational training on products and exhibits.
- Build and maintain relationships with key collaborators including veterinarians, breed associations, extension, university personnel, nutritionists, and genetic companies.
- Uphold a professional image that aligns with Trans Ova's branding objectives, both internally and externally. This encompasses appropriate attire, respectful communication, and thoughtful decision-making.
- Follow Trans Ova’s policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Dairy science / Dairy Business Management or relatable dairy industry experience is required.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
Ability to travel extensively required (>70%)
Other Skills/experience
- A minimum of two (2) years of Dairy sales and/or marketing experience is required.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal/written) and proficiency with a computer including Excel, Power Point, and Word required.
- High degree of professionalism.
- This position can be based within the defined territory, with preference near the I-29 corridor.
