- Work Dates Needed: 6/1/2025 - 8/31/2025, with 3 additional 3 month option periods
- Preferred Schedule: Tour of Duty: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, Forty (40) Hours per week OR Tour of Duty: 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. or 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Sunday through Saturday including holidays, 12 hours per shift.
- Worksite Setting: Outpatient and Inpatient care at Chinle Comprehensive Healthcare Facility (CCHCF)
- Scope of Work: Certified Nurse Midwife provider shall provide independent care to mothers and babies including high-risk patients of the maternal-child population. Provide independent care within established guidelines of a medically directed health service. Collaborate in determining and making recommendation for broad program goals and objectives for maternal-child health care in Indian Health Service. Collaborate in setting medical, midwifery, and nursing standards and protocols as they relate to maternal-child health care. Participate in designing and conducting research relevant to the health care needs of individuals, families, and communities. Provide advice and serve as a health consultant to patients, other professionals, the community, and others as requested.
- Licenses, Certifications, Requirements: Be board certified, Completed an accredited Nurse Midwifery program, no loss of licensure or suspended licensure, not had a lapse in practice > 6 months leading up to assignment at CCHCF, be able to commit to a min of 4 weeks or more at a time, valid unrestricted DEA with schedules types II through V, BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS
