We are searching for a talented Licensed Practical Nurse or Medical Assistant Float to join our OBGYN team at Heritage Women's Center in Nashville, TN.
Job Summary:
Join our patient care team at HMA, delivering efficient, high-quality care in a positive and supportive environment. As a Medical Assistant or LPN, you'll provide both clinical and administrative support, ensuring a smooth and professional patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take vital signs, update patient records, and assist with exams/procedures
- Administer medications, perform tests, and handle specimens
- Prep exam rooms and ensure proper sterilization and infection control
- Support physicians/providers with patient education and documentation
- Manage appointments, referrals, authorizations, and follow-ups
- Handle clerical tasks including phones, faxes, scanning, and supplies
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient clinical environment
- Provide outstanding customer service with a patient-first mindset
Requirements:
For MA:
- Completion of accredited Medical Assistant program or
- 1+ year of experience in a clinical setting or military medical training
For LPN:
- Current & Unrestricted TN LPN License
All Applicants:
- CPR Certification (required)
- Strong communication, computer, and customer service skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology, EHR (preferred: Allscripts, EPIC), HIPAA, and safety protocols
- Valid TN driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
Preferred Experience:
- Familiarity with EHR systems, particularly EPIC
- Prior work in a multi-specialty clinic or physician office
Physical Demands:
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting (<30 lbs)
- Occasional exposure to infectious materials
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic clinical setting
