Maternal Health Niagara is a well-established clinic est. 2017. Our team specializes in supporting people during the perinatal period AND BEYOND (children, youth, individuals, and couples). Our focus is rooted in trauma, attachment and relationships. We are looking for an experienced and passionate associate psychotherapist to join the team. We have a high influx of referrals and are looking for the right fit in a therapist. We aren't looking to hire simply; we are looking for someone who aligns with our values and clinical approach so that we can grow together for our community.
The demand for in-person services requires the candidate to be able to offer services in our new St. Catharines office. Areas of care include individual therapy, children/youth, couples or families.
The clinician can develop their schedule in conjunction with office space availability. The ideal candidate will have either evening or weekend availability.
The position is for an associate position, this is not an employee/employer relationship.
Maternal Health Niagara provides:

- Access to Maternal Health Niagara's EMR, Jane: scheduling, billing, direct billing with Telus e-claims, standard intake forms, office policies, etc.

- Furnished office space. Each therapy room has a window for natural light
- The office overlooks a beautiful ravine, with outdoor benches and walking areas.
Candidate qualifications:
- MSW Registered and in good standing with OCSWSSW
- RP's only, unfortunately we can not accept RP (Qualifying) at the moment.
- Must reside in Ontario. (We are not accepting international applications).
- Clinical experience with couples and/or children.
- A Committed associate to grow with the team.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in psychotherapy
- Provide in-person services in St. Catharines.
- Professional liability insurance (by the start date)
- A passion for perinatal mental health (The candidate must complete perinatal mental health training at the onset of the position, at the expense of the associate)
- Completed Trauma-focused professional development and training.
- Experience with complex trauma, attachment or medical trauma.
- Proficient in a bottom-up approach for trauma, such as EMDR, Brainspotting, FLASH, SE, etc.
- Treatment approaches include Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Attachment, mindfulness, DBT and relational approaches. (We are Looking for skills BEYOND CBT).
- Proficient in clinical assessment, attachment, case conceptualization, and crisis intervention skills, including risk assessments and safety planning.
- Conscientious with administrative tasks, including timely documentation and response to clients.
- Work independently and collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Committed to professional development and seeks clinical supervision.

An associate therapist is responsible for obtaining their own professional liability insurance, clinical supervision, supply their own materials such as laptop/cell phone, and adhere to a commitment to professional development.
