Position Summary:
The Research Assistant will support the McGill Mindfulness Research Lab through two primary responsibilities. First, the RA will lead the creation of a new Squarespace website for the lab, working closely with team members to develop an updated, user-friendly, accessible, and visually cohesive platform that highlights the lab’s mission, research projects, and publications. This includes drafting content, organizing layout, integrating design features, and ensuring the site is regularly updated.
Second, the RA will assist two graduate students with their graduate research projects. This includes supporting Christina Rigas with her master's research project—a systematic review of compassion-based interventions for perinatal mental health—by helping with searching databases, screening articles, data extraction, and manuscript preparation. The RA will also support Viktoriya Manova’s research focused on developing, piloting, and validating a new scale to measure observed interpersonal mindfulness.
Qualifications:
Competency in academic research, including literature reviews, data extraction, and manuscript preparation
Strong website design and development skills, particularly with Squarespace
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and time management abilities
Knowledge translation and content development for online platforms

Bachelor’s degree in psychology or a related field
Previous Research Assistant experience in an academic setting
Demonstrated experience in conducting literature reviews and supporting graduate-level research
Experience with Squarespace or comparable website-building platforms
Experience with academic writing and research databases
