Why Azule
Combining the assets and workforces of bp and Eni in Angola, Azule Energy is a new standalone integrated energy company.
Our vision is to be a safe, responsible, diverse company that will pioneer cost-efficient oil and gas production, as well as help expand Angola’s renewables sector to support local energy consumption.
Azule is a leading upstream player, with exploration and production activities in 16 licensed blocks. Azule’s growing focus on natural gas plays will support Angola in its role as a global LNG exporter. In addition, Azule is developing new opportunities from renewables with a new solar business.

Partnering with Angola to enhance the country’s access to energy, creating employment and generating economic growth investing in new infrastructure and new technologies to drive the Angolan energy industry forward leveraging our unique expertise in exploration and fast-track project development operating in a way that is environmentally responsible, socially just and consistent with bp and Eni’s journey towards Net Zero.
Governance
Azule Energy is an incorporated joint venture (IJV) between BP p.l.c. and Eni SpA. bp and Eni each holding a 50% share. Azule Energy operates in Angola under different Petroleum agreements which set out its contractual relationship with the Angolan Government (represented by the National Concessionaire). The referred agreements provide the framework for carrying out the Petroleum operations.

Azule’s emissions will follow a sustainable trajectory in line with both companies’ environmental targets. Hydrocarbon production and greenhouse gas emissions are reported by the two parent companies on an equity share basis.

- The primary role of the offshore Nurse is to provide emergency medical and urgent care management of potentially ill or injured persons on site. In the event of an injury or acute illness, the Nurse is called upon to exercise critical skills which are practiced frequently. The Nurse works under the direction of Occupational Health Physician and adheres to approved protocols when dispensing prescription drugs and administering medical treatments.
Responsibilities
- Advise the business on continuous related HSE-related performance improvements.
- Provide routine health care advice and education to offshore/ remote site workforce.
- Promote applicable employee assistance and welfare programs.
- Conduct HSE-related self-verification plans.
- Support pandemic response and other disease outbreaks such as food-borne illness.
- Self verify that resources are available for adequate First Aid response on the installation (e.g., first-aiders trainings, stretcher- bearers etc.).
- Develop and maintain the stock levels of over-the-counter medications.
- Conducts verification activity of the safe custody of the controlled drugs and maintenance of the controlled drugs register.
- Conduct IH monitoring e.g., noise, benzene, legionella, under supervision of company Industrial Hygienist or Advisor.
- Conduct Alcohol and Drug testing e.g., sampling.
- Respond to medical emergencies, coordinate and lead medical emergency response on site including mobilisation of additional resources as required.
- Conducting HSE-related activities in support of IOGP conformance and HSE regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- At least two years of applicable practice and remote area experience.
- Offshore Medics Course / Certificate
- Advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) Certificate (paramedic/PA).
- Trauma management Certificate (ATLS, PHTLS or ITLS).
Education & Experience
Degree or Medicine or Certified Nurse.
3-5 years of experience in simliar roles.
Working Conditions
Offshore Field.
