Main Line Women’s Healthcare, an Axia Women’s Health care center, has provided Obstetrics and Gynecology services to women on the Main Line for more than 60 years. Our established group is seeking a full-time Women's Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP)to join our collaborative team.
- Group Providers: 7 OB/GYN Physicians, 2 Nurse Practitioners & Growing!
- 3 Convenient Office Locations: Bryn Mawr, King of Prussia, & Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania
- 50/50 OB/GYN

Physician Assistants are not being considered at this time.
Position Summary:
TheNurse Practitionerperforms physical examinations, confers with patients in person and by phone/electronically, collaborates with others in the department to ensure a smooth flow of patient care consistent with established quality indicators and participates in the overall coordination of patient care. Other job duties include but are not limited to:
- Practices under the standard procedure established for the NP role consistent with Company policy and in accordance with all legal requirements.
- Performs IUD and Nexplanon insertions and removals, endometrial Biopsies, and works with Pessaries (educating and maintenance). May perform colposcopies.
- Conducts age-appropriate assessments of patients, including history taking and physical examination consistent with department protocol.
- Performs assessment/data collection in an on-going systematic manner, focusing on physiologic, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, and cognitive status, patient/family education, family involvement, and patient advocacy.
- Consults with supervising physician or other clinicians as dictated by patient need and assessment findings.
- Participates with physicians and other clinicians in the department to assure effective patient care consistent with quality indicators for patients cared for in the designated service.
- Reviews medical record for follow up or ordering of diagnostic studies under established protocols.
- Establishes effective working relationships with members of the health care team, patients, and families.
- Demonstrates knowledge of and applies safety principles as identified by the practice.
- Performs efficiently in emergency situations following established protocols, remaining calm, informing appropriate persons, and documenting events.
- Demonstrates knowledge of legal issues, including patient confidentiality and risk management in all aspects of patient care and unit functioning.
- Demonstrates a service philosophy in all interactions with patients, families, and all members of the health care team.
- Demonstrates proficiency in the use of computers and telecommunication modalities to document, track and convey information.
- Assists with daily patient phone triage.
- Other associated Advanced Practice Provider functions.
Qualifications:
- Active, unrestricted Pennsylvania CRNP license and DEA or ability to obtain.
- 1-2 years' experience as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner highly preferred.
- Experience with endometrial biopsies, IUDs, and Nexplanon.
- Flexibility to be scheduled at satellite locations.
- Eligibility to participate in state programs including but not limited to Medicare and Medicaid.
