Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in biology, physical sciences, or a related field.
• Doctor of medicine (MD) degree
• 1 year internship and 4-year residency training accredited by the Philippine Obstetrical and Gynecological Society
• Fellow, Philippine Obstetrical and Gynecological Society (FPOGS)
• Valid and active PRC medical license
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent communicator who can empathize with patients
Job Description:
• Provides routine checkups, screenings, and guidance to pregnant women to ensure the health of both mother and fetus. Manages the process of childbirth in his/her accredited hospital, including labor induction, delivery, and postpartum care.
• Renders gynecological care by diagnosing and treating conditions of the female reproductive system, including infections, disorders, and cancers.
• Performs well-woman exams, including Pap smears, pelvic exams, and breast exams.
• Provides counseling and guidance on birth control, fertility, and other reproductive health matters.
• Educates patients about their conditions, treatment options, and preventive care.
• Orders and interpres diagnostic tests, such as ultrasounds, blood tests, and biopsies.
• Facilitates pelvic, transvaginal or transrectal ultrasound procedures.
