Responsibilities
A hospital on the Gulf Coast of Florida has an opportunity for a skilled OB Hospitalist to provide locum coverage.
Opportunity Highlights
- Schedule: 24-hour in-house shifts
- Level II NICU
- Delivery Volume: 24 assigned and 8 unassigned per month, 1,620 total per year
- Standard OBED model
- Will cover emergency GYN cases
- Support Staff: MFM, anesthesia
- EMR: Meditech
- Board certification required
- Paid travel & expenses
- Provide top-notch OB hospitalist coverage while fostering a warm and welcoming environment for patients and staff.
- Collaborate closely with the medical team to ensure smooth transitions and comprehensive care across Eastern WV.
- Deliver expert obstetrical care during high-risk pregnancies, labor, and postpartum periods.
- Actively support the Level III NICU team, ensuring that newborns receive exceptional care around the clock.
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with families, ensuring they feel informed and cared for.
- Stay up to date with best practices and maintain detailed, accurate record keeping.
- Embrace teamwork and flexibility, making a positive impact in every shift.
Qualifications
- Board-certified OB/GYN with a passion for providing excellent maternal care.
- Active unencumbered Florida Internal Medicine OB
- Demonstrated experience managing high-risk pregnancies and obstetric emergencies.
- Proficient in neonatal care protocols, ensuring safe transitions in a Level III NICU.
- Adaptable and upbeat, ready to embrace the dynamic environment of Eastern WV hospitals.
- Strong collaborator with excellent communication skills for smooth team integration.
