Key Responsibilities (Applicable Across Specialties)
1 Clinical Responsibilities
Provide expert inpatient and outpatient care in the respective department.
Assist and perform diagnostic, therapeutic, and procedural interventions as per specialty.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (MDTs) for holistic patient care.
Handle medical emergencies, critical care management, and referrals.
Maintain accurate medical documentation, case histories, and patient records.
2 Teaching & Mentorship
Supervise and train junior residents, interns, and medical students in clinical settings.
Conduct case discussions, seminars, and academic presentations.
Participate in clinical skill development programs and bedside teaching.
3 Research & Development
Engage in clinical research, medical audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
Contribute to journal publications, conferences, and evidence-based medical practices.
Participate in hospital-wide academic programs and continuing medical education (CME).
4 Department-Specific Responsibilities
Senior Resident General Medicine
Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions across multiple organ systems.
Manage ICU/critical care patients and coordinate with super-specialists.
Guide patients in preventive healthcare and lifestyle modifications.
Senior Resident Obstetrics & Gynecology (OBG)
Provide comprehensive maternal and fetal healthcare.
Manage normal and high-risk pregnancies, deliveries, and C-sections.
Perform gynecological procedures, laparoscopic surgeries, and infertility treatments.
Senior Resident Radiology
Conduct and interpret X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, ultrasounds, and fluoroscopic studies.
Assist in image-guided procedures, biopsies, and interventional radiology.
Collaborate with clinical teams for diagnostic accuracy and treatment planning.
Senior Resident Psychiatry
Diagnose and treat mental health disorders, addiction, and behavioral issues.
Provide counseling, psychotherapy, and pharmacological management.
Work with multidisciplinary teams for holistic psychiatric care.
