Join Our Team as a Specialty Customer Manager!
Are you ready to make a significant impact in the healthcare industry? As a Specialty Customer Manager (SCM), you will play a crucial role in supporting sales and marketing strategies for various specialty products, focusing on healthcare professional (HCP) activation and opportunities. You will be responsible for business development and performance by understanding the specialty ecosystem and key stakeholders, monitoring data analytics, and achieving recommendations in line with each franchise/brand forecast.
In this dynamic role, you will collaborate with the wider company field team and cross-functional business unit teams to ensure strategic implementation and pull-through for each designated client. Your ability to identify and address customer needs across multiple levels will foster partnerships built on trust, while your insights into competitor strategies will help capitalize on opportunities for business growth and franchise defense.
Main Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
- Understand the logistics, contracting, and decision-making processes within accounts.
- Identify key stakeholders and their perspectives on our company and competitors.
- Conduct competitor analysis and assess the account’s unmet needs.
- Develop short- and long-term business opportunities and objectives for clients.
- Educate clients based on their needs while considering competitive challenges.
- Leverage cross-functional resources to achieve vaccine recommendations.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers and stakeholders.
- Act as the primary interface for designated products and business aspects.
- Coordinate efforts across functions when negotiating contracts or listings.
- Conduct product promotions while meeting all expectations.
- Develop compelling, value-based offers for designated products.
- Monitor client performance and refine operational activities based on insights.
- Identify contract opportunities and shape contract content.
- Communicate contract decisions to internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with clients to develop innovative contract conditions.
- Identify new product opportunities for clients and their patients.
Main Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree; MBA preferred.
- Communication skills, must be fluent in Spanish and have at least advanced business working proficiency in English.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in sales in a specialty therapeutic area, working with key thought leaders and/or influential customers in large group practices, hospitals, or managed care organizations.
- Experience in sales and account management in public and private sectors.
- Proficient in customer engagement and developing account business strategies.
- Understanding of local healthcare and reimbursement systems (preferred).
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with individuals from diverse backgrounds and influence senior management, key thought leaders, and customers.
- Growth mindset, negotiation, problem-solving, and conflict management skills.
- Strong prioritization skills with an understanding of how decisions align with broader corporate strategies.
- Technologically proficient (e.g., MS Office Suite, iPad).
- Availability to work based in Puerto Rico.
