One Health is looking for a Fellowship-trained Consultant Gynaecologistto support and grow the One Health Group Gynaecology Team. A special interest in urogynaecology is preferred but not essential. The surgeon must be on the specialist register
The role involves assessing and operating on patients referred to One Health via the NHS e-Referral System. Patient consultations will be held across a number of outreach clinic sites, with a particular focus on Derbyshire and West Yorkshire. Operations will take place within a range of independent sector hospitals. The Consultant must be prepared to travel.
The successful candidate will have experience working within a similar role in a private or NHS setting. You should have a professional outlook, empathetic telephone manner and understand the importance of patient confidentiality.
In order to be considered for this position, you must ensure:
- You are not part of another private group
- You are currently in a substantive NHS post OR in a long-term locum post (more than 12 months)
- If not in a current NHS post, you should have been a substantive NHS consultant for at least 3 years before leaving the NHS (for whatever reasons, except GMC restrictions)
- You have the relevant sub specialist qualifications (FRCS {orth} for example in orthopaedics)
- You are on the specialist register
- You are on the GMC register and have no hearings or restrictions
All surgeons who work with One Health will be subject to our onboarding process and approval from our Clinical Governance Lead. Practicing Privileges will be required to be obtained for each hospital where procedures are undertaken.
