We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Resource Nurse in the Farmington, NM area to join our team. This role allows you to stay close to home while gaining diverse experience, making a meaningful impact on patients' lives and contributing to different communities within the state.
This role is a Full-Time benefit eligible opportunity, with care being provided at the patient’s residence. Patients range from high acuity to those who only need basic medical management.
Once our patients are accepted into the program, there is no expiration for this benefit, which allows our team of caregivers to build lasting relationships with their patients for years to come.
You’ll get to advocate for the patients and work one-on-one to provide them with the care that they need.
This role will collaborate with CNA’s, HHA’s, Case Managers, and the patient’s physicians.
Offers are contingent upon passing a background check.
Requirements:
- RN or LPN License – Active and valid in the state of practice (Compact license preferred, but not required)
- Experience in Home Healthcare – Comfortable providing care in patients' homes on a daily and weekly basis
- Willingness to Travel to Patient Homes – Ability to travel to various patient homes, including remote or rural areas in Northern New Mexico
- Familiarity with Reservation Terrain – Knowledge of local geography and the challenges of the reservation area
- Flexibility for PRN Shifts – Availability for on-demand, per diem shifts, including evenings and weekends
- Strong Clinical Skills – Ability to manage patient care in a home setting, with effective assessment and interventions
Preferences:
- Experience with Diverse Patient Populations – Ability to handle a variety of medical conditions and needs
- Ability to Work Independently – Comfortable managing patient care without direct supervision in home settings
- Comfortable Navigating Remote Areas – Ability to navigate less-developed or difficult-to-access areas
- Strong Organizational Skills – Ability to handle multiple patients and appointments efficiently
- Cultural Sensitivity – Understanding and respect for the cultural practices and needs of reservation communities
