Job Description:
Global Medical Learning & Development Manager
Do you want to build and implement a 3-year Medical L&D roadmap that supports an effective medical organization with a growth mindset? Can you leverage digital opportunities to expand how we deliver training and ensure continuous learning?
This is your opportunity to step into a global role where you will focus on the education and professional growth of medical employees. You will help ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles, while leveraging or strengthening your understanding of adult learning principles and experience with global stakeholder management.
“This role touches upon all the ACE principles. Accountability, because it is hands-on and you get to take action. Collaboration is important because you will be working with a host of colleagues within the Medical organization. And entrepreneurship, because we encourage you to come in with fresh eyes to create a strategy and a road map.” Stephanie Otis, VP of Global Medical Excellence
Ferring + you
You will join the Global Medical Excellence department (with the option of staying in your current location), where you can contribute to a culture of continuous learning among medical employees.
Playing a key role in establishing and coordinating training plans and competency frameworks, you will ensure that the appropriate knowledge and skills required for medical roles are in place for Ferring to be recognized as a credible scientific partner.
Your day at Ferring
As our new Global Medical Learning & Development Manager, you will set the overall L&D strategy to build the required skills and competencies needed within the medical organization. In building and implementing the Medical L&D roadmap, you will:
- Put in place (and ensure continuous updates of) training and materials for scientific and functional upskilling of medical affairs employees
- Plan the execution of needed training sessions and support subject matter experts in delivering the training and content to make the training sessions interactive and effective
- Deliver high-quality internal medical and product-focused training programs in a timely manner, considering product launch excellence
- Work with global and regional medical stakeholders to support their L&D needs
- Support and supervise the execution of training programs at regional and local levels and devise and deliver “train-the-trainer” programs when relevant
- Provide support for the design of tailored local training
- Develop a thorough onboarding training plan for all new employees in the medical organization, adapted to specific roles, including creating and maintaining the initial onboarding training matrix
- Ensure that all key training deliverables can be tracked in our learning management system (LMS)
Because of this role's global and highly collaborative nature, you can expect to work across time zones and attend virtual meetings with colleagues in Europe, the US, and the Asia Pacific region.
