Cirqle Biomedical is seeking a talented R&D Scientist. In this role, you will develop and evaluate formulations, perform in vitro efficacy assays, and support biocompatibility testing.

Cirqle Biomedical's mission is to pioneer advancements in women's health by combining our expertise in mucin engineering and human-centered design. Our first product is a novel non-hormonal contraceptive that reinforces the body’s natural barrier to sperm cells, the cervical mucus. We are now developing this product in partnership with Organon, a world-leading women's health pharmaceutical company, as part of a $360M deal. What you’ll work on:
- Prepare formulations and perform quality control.
- Conduct and analyze in vitro efficacy assays evaluating formulations.
- Support biocompatibility studies, including in vitro cytotoxicity, in vivo irritation, and vaginal microbiome compatibility assays.
- Collaborate with formulation team members responsible for in vitro validation, in vivo efficacy studies, and biocompatibility.
- Document protocols, procedures, and results.
- Analyze and present findings to the team and management.
Who you are:
- Hold a Master’s degree (or are about to graduate) in biology, molecular biology, embryology, immunology, chemistry, biophysics, bioengineering, or chemical engineering (this position is not intended for candidates with a PhD).
- Have one year of hands-on laboratory experience.
- Detail-oriented and structured, ensuring high-quality results.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive, fast learner who independently drives projects.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
