POSITION: HEALTH & NUTRITION EDUCATOR
REPORTS TO: Nutrition & Education Programs Supervisor

Adagio Health is looking to hire a full-time Health & Nutrition Educator for its Langley office to serve Allegheny County partners. The pay for this position is $19.40/hour.
The Health & Nutrition Educator will support the implementation of:
- SNAP-Education - a program delivering nutrition and physical activity to the low-income population along with public health approaches to support implementing education into action.
- Teen Outreach Program (TOP)- a social-emotional learning curricula designed for middle and high school youth.
- Additional programs related to public health as applicable.
Responsibilities
- Initiates and delivers education in a variety of settings.
- Ensures curricula is delivered as intended following program guidance and guidelines.
- Delivers engaging, interactive, and concise lessons.
- Builds relationships with program partners to enhance program delivery and effectiveness.
- Maintains regular communication with program partners.
- Initiates, leads, and provides technical assistance on supporting projects-based partner needs.
- Delivers indirect channels.
- Completes all required documentation, data tracking, and data entry by determined deadlines.
- Provides high quality customer service and participant recruitment in coordination with other Adagio Health initiatives as appropriate.
- Collaborates with other educators to share ideas.
- Works/travels in any offices as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
- BS degree in public health, education, nutrition or a related field.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a desire to: develop, provide and evaluate education programming.
- Experience in youth education in a school setting and in public health is desirable.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to a reliable car.
- Travel is required on a regular basis.
