Aneurin Bevan University Health Board is the operational name of Aneurin Bevan University Local Health Board. The Health Board was established on the 1st October 2009 and covers the areas of Blaenau Gwent, Caerphilly, Monmouthshire, Newport, Torfaen and South Powys.
As an Employer, we are adaptable, agile and flexible and can offer variations to working practices in line with our Agile Hybrid Framework and Home Working Policy. The Health Board employs over 13,000 staff, two thirds of whom are involved in direct patient care. There are more than 250 consultants in a total of over 1000 hospital and general practice doctors, 6,000 nurses, midwives, allied professionals and community workers. The Health Board is led by the Chairman, non-executive directors, the Chief Executive and other executive directors. The Board is supported by the Senior Management Team.

Job Overview
We are looking to recruit registered nurses to join our community rehabilitation hospital within County hospital. We pride ourselves in providing excellent standards of nursing care to our patients requiring a period of rehabilitation and complex discharge planning. There is an expectation to transfer skills across Oak and Rowan Ward on a rotational basis as per service requirements to develop skills in this speciality

Successful Applicants will need to be motivated, enthusiastic and reliable with a passion for providing high quality patient care. Along with an interest in acute medical care and specialist palliative care nursing. We care for our patients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and can consider several working patterns to support work life balance of our staff. The role will involve flexible working to meet the need of the service.
As a registered nurse you will be expected to have excellent communication skills, the ability to prioritise your own workload and delegate tasks and be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care.
You will be expected to take on the role as a practice supervisor/assessor, supporting nursing students on placement along with our own junior members of the nursing team.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
