Job Description
Your Challenge:
As Senior Art Director, you have the opportunity to work with Marketing and Business teams and take Mother & Child Care / Women’s Health communications design to the next level. As a part of the design team, you will be responsible for envisioning and visualizing holistic desired consumer experiences and visualizing end-to-end consumer experience journeys from value proposition creation to market launch.
You will be responsible to create visual language to engage, inform, and inspire the audience and bring brand consistency across multiple touchpoints. You will be part of an amazing cross-disciplinary team that includes product design, interaction design, service design, people/trend research, communication design.
You are responsible for:
- Understanding people, business and societies, framing the problem and focusing on user needs and requirements
- Exploring and defining brand experiences across propositions, channels, people and various touchpoints
- Inform and inspire the marketing and design teams to adopt 360 brand experience mentality by being an advocate for exceptional design and creation of delightful consumer experience
- Develop design ideas in a project, from basic product/communication concepts, to fully worked out design solutions utilizig world-class methods and tools for teams to create 360 brand experiences
- Creating user focused strategies, innovations, solutions and experiences and the user testing and validation of these, considering usability, sustainability and appropriate visual and verbal articulation in line with DLS and Brand guidelines
- Supporting internal teams by creating compelling visual communication artifacts that aid in storytelling, articulating our offer, demonstrating effective design solutions that add value to Philips and the audiences we serve
- Supporting creation of external facing marketing and communications materials that meet the goals and professionalism required by the design brand and communications team
- Collaborating with designers with different backgrounds, such as, Graphic Designers, Event Designers, Industrial Designers, Interaction Designers, Design Researchers, Service Designers, Environments Designers, and outside agencies / vendors to develop deliverables for our internal and external stakeholders
- Working with the established Philips brand design language and visual system, and liaison with Brand team, as required
You’re the right fit if you:
- Hold Bachelor’s degree in Design, or equivalent professional Design training experience
- Minimum 7+ years of relevant professional experience
- Have experience in art direction, concept ideation, design strategy, and production
- Use Design Thinking practices (stakeholder mapping, insights mapping, value proposition, storyboarding, design research, prototyping, etc.) for problem solving both creatively and strategically
- Are creatively hands’ on and can work independently and within a greater team from concept to execution
- You have strong verbal, written, and visual presentation skills
- You understand the value of design and brand within a business context and are able to undertake key stakeholder management
- Fluency across a variety of visual media including mastery of Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
- Additional skills in Sketch, After Effects, or digital prototyping tools are a bonus
- Have experience working with designers from different backgrounds
- Digital and social media experience is a strong plus
