Job Title: Consultant Gynecologist (MS OBG/DGO)

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate
Consultant Gynecologist with an MS in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OBG) or a DGO certification. The role involves providing expert care in the management of a wide range of gynecological and obstetric conditions, performing surgeries, offering pre- and post-natal care, and contributing to the growth and success of the healthcare facility. The Consultant Gynecologist will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and ensure that patients receive personalized, evidence-based care.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Care:
- Provide expert consultation and treatment to patients in areas of obstetrics, gynecology, and women's health.
- Diagnose and treat common and complex gynecological conditions, including menstrual disorders, pelvic pain, endometriosis, and fibroids.
- Manage obstetric care, including prenatal, antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care.
- Conduct routine gynecological examinations, screenings, and diagnostic tests.
- Offer family planning services and counseling.
- Perform both elective and emergency gynecological surgeries, including hysterectomies, laparoscopies, and other surgical procedures as necessary.
- Manage high-risk pregnancies and perform cesarean sections (C-sections) and other obstetric procedures as required.
- Surgical Expertise:
- Perform minimally invasive surgeries (laparoscopy, hysteroscopy) for conditions such as fibroids, ovarian cysts, and endometriosis.
- Provide expertise in reconstructive pelvic surgeries and vaginal surgeries.
- Collaborate with other specialists as needed for complex surgeries.
- Patient Care and Counseling:
- Educate patients on health, wellness, and preventive care related to gynecology and obstetrics.
- Provide emotional support to women undergoing complex gynecological treatments or high-risk pregnancies.
- Counsel patients regarding lifestyle changes, fertility options, and post-operative care.
- Collaboration and Coordination:
- Work with nurses, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for women.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as neonatology, oncology, and endocrinology, to provide holistic patient care.
- Supervise and mentor junior doctors, residents, and medical students.
- Research and Continuing Education:
- Keep abreast of the latest developments and trends in obstetrics, gynecology, and women's health.
- Engage in clinical research activities related to gynecology, obstetrics, and women’s health, with a focus on improving treatment outcomes and patient care.
- Participate in seminars, conferences, and other professional development activities.
- Administrative Duties:
- Document patient history, diagnosis, treatment plans, and progress notes in a clear, timely manner.
- Prepare reports for hospital administration as required.
- Comply with hospital protocols and regulatory guidelines, ensuring that all practices meet the highest standard of medical care.
- Contribute to the development of clinical guidelines, protocols, and policies related to gynecological care.
