About the role
The Commercial team has a proven track record of handling significant transactions within the Australian property market. Our portfolio includes representation of a diverse range of property owners, managers, and developers in some of the most notable commercial leases and property acquisitions and divestments across the country.
Supporting key Partners and Lawyers in a well-established practice, you will be responsible for:
- Opening and closing files
- Monthly billing and reporting
- Document amendments and version control
- Conducting property related searches
- Coordinating the work of administrative assistants and junior legal assistants
- Other general administrative and financial duties and support as required
About you
We’re looking for a full time Legal Assistant who is comfortable supporting multiple fee earners in a dynamic commercial real estate practice. You will enjoy working within a smaller team alongside other administrators in a collegiate environment. A strong work ethic, the ability to manage conflicting priorities and keep on top of deadlines are some of the other key qualities we are looking for, in addition to adapting to different working styles.
In addition, the ideal candidate will possess:
- A positive can-do attitude with a team-based approach to work.
- Experience in a law firm or professional services organisation will be highly regarded.
- A true interest and a drive to continue learning and engaging within the legal industry.
- The ability to manage a varied workload.
- Strong organisational skills and an ability to manage competing priorities and time constraints practically and effectively
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with document production software.
