Description
This position involves accurate interpretation of Electronic Fetal Monitoring, ability to implement appropriate labor interventions, knowledge of appropriate post-partum and newborn cares, accurate documentation in an electronic health record system, and a quick response to rapidly changing department needs. The right candidate should be motivated to provide culturally competent care, recognize and implement teaching and discharge needs of the family unit, and work well with physicians and other members of the healthcare team. Position is part-time of four (4) 12-hour night shifts every two weeks with every third weekend rotation. However, weekend package may be available, with a potential for different terms if that option is desired. Preference will be given to applicants with previous nursing experience, particularly OB-related experience.
