Island Reproductive Services is a full-service REI center within its own 10,000 square foot freestanding building. We are Staten Island's only IVF facility. We maintain excellent pregnancy rates in a customer service-orientated practice. IVF cycles are batched every other week. The new embryologist would join our current team of two senior embryologists, one junior embryologist, and one andrologist.
We are looking for either a junior embryologist or an andrologist to train in all aspects of embryology. The ultimate goal is to train this team member to be a senior embryologist over 1-2 years including training in egg retrievals, ICSI, hatching. trophectoderm biopsy, and all gamete cryopreservation and thawing.
Job Description:
- Perform basic andrology and embryology procedures.
- Perform oocyte identification at egg retrievals, oocyte stripping, insemination, embryo culture, sperm preparation for IVF and IUI, embryo transfer preparation, embryo thaws, and embryo cryopreservation.
- Collaborate with other members of the fertility team, including physicians, nurses and financial staff.
- Communicate with patients and families to provide updates and answer ongoing embryology questions.
- Undergo routine ongoing training and education to maintain skills
- Helps maintain internal records and external records such as SART data.
Vacation time and work hours are detemined by the laboratory team. Weekend hours result in comp time during non-IVF weeks.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
