Summary
We are seeking a highly qualified IT LIMS Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) that optimize laboratory processes and ensure data integrity. This role is crucial to ensure our LIMS systems meet regulatory and quality requirements.
Main Responsibilities
- Design and develop customized LIMS solutions to meet specific laboratory needs.
- Collaborate with laboratory and IT teams to identify and resolve technical issues.
- Implement and maintain LIMS systems, ensuring their integration with other IT systems.
- Develop and maintain technical and user documentation.
- Train end-users on the LIMS system.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
- Conduct testing and validation of LIMS systems.
- Provide technical support and resolve LIMS-related issues.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Bioinformatics, or a related field.
- Additional certifications in LIMS or project management are a plus.
Experience
- Experience building custom reports using tools like Jasper or Cristal reports.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing and implementing LIMS systems.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or medical device industry.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and standards, such as GxP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, ISO 17025.
- Experience integrating LIMS systems with other IT systems (ERP, MES, etc.).
Competencies And Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of programming languages and databases (Java, SQL, Oracle, etc.).
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.

- Experience with cloud-based LIMS solutions.
- Familiarity with laboratory workflows and processes.
- Proficiency in data visualization and reporting tools.
- Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
- Strong project management skills.
- Ability to mentor and guide junior team members.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices in the context of LIMS.
