An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Maternity and Neonatal team as a Specialist Midwife for Maternal Medicine and Pre-Term Birth. It is recognised that maternal morbidity and mortality are increased by diseases that pre-date pregnancy, and by complications that arise during pregnancy. This role will support the national ambition to implement Maternal Medicine Networks and Preterm birth prediction, preparation and prevention.
The post holder will work alongside the antenatal team, specialist midwives, obstetric colleagues, and specialist consultants to optimise outcomes and reduce any existing inequalities.
We are delighted to be able to offer a range of roles within the maternity department across the Trust following additional investment to enhance services.
Interviews will take place the week commencing the 17th of March.
As an autonomous practitioner, promoting the best practice and highest standards within maternity services, you will demonstrate the trust vision and values in all behaviours. As a highly motivated individual, with a passion for providing high quality, research-based maternity care the postholder will be integral to the evolving and developing team.
You will work as part of the senior leadership team to lead and coordinate the clinical, managerial and educational requirements of a defined area.
Leading by example, you will empower staff in their professional development and provide advice, guidance, support and participate in the education and training of midwives, nurses and junior colleagues/students.
As an expert practitioner, you will be responsible for liaising, guiding and advising the MDT and maternity stakeholders in the provision of optimum care. You will be actively involved with audit, governance and quality or service improvement.
