Merrion Fertility Clinic is a not-for-profit organisation affiliated to the National Maternity Hospital. It is one of the leading providers of Assisted Reproduction Services in Ireland, providing treatment cycles for hundreds of couples every year and achieving pregnancy rates above the internationally recognised norms.
With the continued growth of the Clinic, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Assistant to join our Accounting team.
Duties & responsibilities:
Accounts receivable
- Sending patient invoices and ensuring payments are made
- Reviewing aged debt report and following up on outstanding payments
- Weekly monitoring for refunds that are due
- Correspond with patients on enquiries and invoice discrepancies
- Post payments on patient accounts and reconcile payments each week
- Prepare the monthly invoice for a partner clinic
Accounting
- Bank reconciliations,
- Monthly cashflow projections
- General ledger and journal entries
Other duties
- Ensure patients have signed fee agreements
- Assist on projects when needed

Skills, Attributes, Qualifications and Experience Required:
- Previous experience working in an SME
- Have at least 18 months experience in a similar accounts position
- Ability to work effectively to deadlines
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- A hands-on approach with a strong work ethic and the ability to work on your own initiative
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Suite
- Excellent written and verbal communication, organisational skills and attention to detail
- Discretion, integrity and confidentiality
- SME experience
Desired:
- Hold an Accounting Technician qualification
- Knowledge of computerised accounts packages

Role Specification
- Salary: Negotiable depending on experience
- Location: Near Merrion Square, Dublin 2
- Core Working Hours: 8am to 4pm, with a 15 minute morning tea break and 30 minutes for lunch.
- Working Time Pattern: Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week
- Full-time, Permanent
