Summary: The Medical Transport Specialist at ReproTech is responsible for safely driving the company vehicle to various fertility clinics for the transportation of reproductive tissues to and from the fertility clinic and ReproTech. This includes picking up and delivering reproductive tissue, carrying and transferring shipping tanks, and ensuring safe operation of the vehicle. The role also involves performing basic tank maintenance and troubleshooting any issues that may arise during transport.
When not making clinic visits, the individual will assist with in-office duties, supporting daily operations of the designated office. The position requires the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of the office team, with a comprehensive understanding of ReproTech's systems and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES MEDICAL TRANSPORT SPECIALIST:
· Specimen Pickup & Delivery: Perform regular specimen pick-up and delivery via in-person visits to fertility clinics, as required by clinic needs. The individual will be the primary ReproTech Site driver, ensuring timely transport of materials. This may involve multiple clinic visits per week and extended trips across multiple weeks per month.
· Travel & Shift Flexibility: The role requires the ability to travel for overnight trips and work extended shifts of 8 hours or more, potentially up to 16 hours, depending on the logistics and clinic requirements.
· Shipping Tank Handling: Safely handle and pack shipping tanks for transport. Ensure secure packing in the company vehicle to prevent damage or contamination of reproductive tissues.
· Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Quickly and efficiently respond to any issues with shipping tanks en route. This includes:
- Understanding tank probe functionality and taking action if alarms are triggered.
- Checking and documenting cryoguards for proper functioning.
- Moving canisters between shipping tanks when needed.
· Tank Packing & Documentation: Ensure that shipping tanks are correctly packed, and that all transfer verifications are accurately documented according to company protocols.
- Ongoing maintenance of mushrooms, including cleaning & labeling.
Additional Job Responsibilities:
- Administrative Support: Assist with various administrative tasks as assigned by supervisors or management. These tasks may include, but are not limited to:
- Data entry in Acumatica.
- Reviewing and following up on accounts.
- Scanning, uploading, and organizing documents.
- Special Projects: Participate in special projects as directed by management, contributing to overall office and operational improvements.
- Process Improvement: Collaborate with the site team to identify areas needing improvement or updates. Work together to streamline and optimize processes for better efficiency.
- Office Supply Management: Order office supplies as necessary to ensure smooth office operations.
- Inventory Tracking: Perform quarterly inventory checks on marketing supplies, recording quantities and ensuring proper stock levels.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum high school diploma or GED, diploma or transcripts required.
- Experience in the reproductive medical field, health sciences, or laboratory and a working knowledge of reproductive terminology a plus.
- Ability to interact & communicate with clinic staff during in person visits in a professional manner.
- Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail required.
- Flexibility and a positive attitude are essential.
- Ability to perceive differences in colors and read very small print consistently.
- Physical requirements which include excellent fine motor skills, lifting 30+ lbs., bending, standing on feet, sitting/driving for extended periods.
- Extremely safe driving skills, clean driving record, ability to confidently/safely drive/maneuver large cargo vehicle (special driver’s license not required, C-class sufficient, currently Ford Transit vehicle).
- Ability/Flexibility to travel on overnight trips (possibly 2+ trips per month) via RTL van or flights and work long shifts (sometimes up to 16 hours).

Pay: $20.00 per hour
