Currently we are seeking a Midwife Manager to join our team. The Midwife Manager is responsible for leading and managing the Midwifery/Nursing workforce to deliver evidence-based care to achieve optimal patient outcomes within allocated resources. The Midwife Manager Birth Suite has direct responsibility for improving and maintaining standards, developing solutions and delivering outcomes consistent with service and organisational imperatives and targets.
As a key leader in the interdisciplinary team, including FM staff, the Midwife Manager will ensure that the birth suite service meets the requirement for delivery of a patient centred service against key performance indicators: quality, budget and human resource. The position provides a consultation and liaison service within their area of expertise both internal and external to SMHS.

Fiona Stanley Hospital (FSH) is a 783-bed tertiary hospital offering a range of health services including the State Rehabilitation Service, a comprehensive cancer centre, purpose-built mental health unit, maternity, paediatric and neonatal services, and the State Adult Burns Service. FSH also delivers specialised services such as heart and lung transplantations and hyperbaric medicine.
