Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician At Protean Med LLC Summary
An Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician is responsible for providing comprehensive healthcare services for women, including prenatal, delivery, and postnatal care. This role requires a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree, board certification or eligibility, and the management of a diverse patient load in a rural-style practice. The physician will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, ensuring patient-centered care while adhering to high performance benchmarks.

- Board Eligible (to become BC within 3 years of employment) or Board Certified in OB/GYN - REQUIRED
- ID license (or willing to obtain) - REQUIRED
- Successful completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited obstetrics & gynecology residency program (note in "Additional Submission Details" field) - REQUIRED
- DEA (or willing to obtain) - REQUIRED
- CDS/CSR (or willing to obtain) - REQUIRED
- Clean Malpractice & License History - REQUIRED

Job Description
- Traditional workweek plus call and hospital responsibilities, including evenings and weekends
- Minimum of 32 patient contact hours per week plus rounding and call
- On-call schedule/ratio: 1/6 shared equitably with other employed OB/GYNs
- Average patients a day: 20-25
- Weekend schedule/ratio: 1/6 shared equitably with other employed OB/GYNs
- Opportunity for an OB-GYN seeking a rural-style practice with the support of a large health system and a well-organized multispecialty group practice.
- Strong network of primary care clinics and specialty care providers
- Support includes Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Gynecologic Oncologist, 4-bed Level II NICU, 24/7 CRNA Anesthesia, Emergency Department, and a SAMG network of 74 Primary & Specialty Care clinics
- Additional support includes Gyn Onc, MFM, Certified Nurse Midwives, Neonatologists, Genetic Counselors, and 24-hour onsite anesthesia coverage on labor and delivery
- OB Hospitalist service available
- NICU team follows a family-centered approach with outcomes exceeding national benchmarks
- Retirement/move is the reason for coverage
- Desired start date: ASAP

- Documentation System/EMR: EPIC with Dax
- Accepting Board Certified or Board Eligible candidates who will become Board Certified within 3 years of employment.
