Symex Labs is seeking a highly motivated and experienced healthcare industry professional in a part-time Chief Product Officer (CPO) role to join the founding team and be the ‘voice of customer’ as our products take shape.
Did you know nearly half of all women don’t know about their hormonal health until they experience serious symptoms? Hormonal health plays a key role in every stage of life—from fertility and conception to menopause—but it’s still a mystery for many. Only 1 in 5 women has access to hormonal blood tests. While we can easily track things like sleep, diet, and exercise, understanding hormones—a cornerstone of women’s health—remains difficult and out of reach for many.
At Symex Labs, we aim to change this status quo.
We are a mission-driven health tech start-up revolutionizing hormone diagnostics and awareness. Our groundbreaking wearable device will be the first of its kind, designed to track women’s hormones without the need for painful blood tests or inconvenient urine sticks. This innovative patch will use skin fluid to accurately measure hormone levels, giving women clear insights into their health. With the simplicity of applying a patch on your skin, our mission is making hormone tracking effortless and empowering.
If this mission resonates with you, get in touch today to join the founding team in a key executive role that will help shape the future of the company. Our ideal candidate will have direct clinical experience in women’s health, passion to change the status-quo and energy to match.
In a true startup sense, CPO will be wearing multiple hats and no two days may look similar. However, at its core, the CPO role will involve:
- Leading the product and service design strategy for Symex Labs wearable hormone tracking platform.
- Engaging with clinicians, patients and key opinion leaders.
- Leading product innovation & market research.
This is a part-time role with flexibility to choose your days and hours. We have a fabulous office in Melbourne CBD and encourage a hybrid setup with some time spent in person with the team.
Generous sweat equity will be on offer for the right candidate.
The ideal candidate will possess the following experience and qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., healthcare or business); an advanced degree (MBA or healthcare-focused) is preferred.
- Proven experience (10+ years) in healthcare industry, ideally with a strong focus on women’s health or fertility.
- Strong experience working with healthcare providers, clinicians, and patients, particularly in the fertility and women’s health sectors.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally.
