The Role:
Northern Health, one of Victoria's busiest Health Care Providers, is currently seeking a Registered Midwifeto join our Koori Maternity Service within theWomen’s and Children’s Division.
As a registered midwife working with Northern Health’s Koori Maternity Service, you will provide a culturally safe midwifery service to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women and families. The midwife will work closely with the Aboriginal Health Worker and extended multidisciplinary team to provide Antenatal care as well as support, both during the intrapartum and postnatal stages as required. Domiciliary care will be provided by the Koori Maternity Midwife wherever possible
to ensure a high level of quality patient care is delivered within the service. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, coordinating and evaluating the care delivery of each patient’s individual needs.

This is a great opportunity for a Midwife who would like to progress their career in this area of specialty.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Current qualifications and registration with AHPRA as a Registered Midwife.
- Ability to assess, plan, coordinate and evaluate care delivery needs of patients.
- RM with a minimum of 3 years post-basic experience relevant to the position.
- Recent experience working across the continuum of midwifery care.
- Experience in working across large multi-campus organisations.
- Preferred experience working in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women’s health.
- An ability to provide clear patient education and instruction.
- Sound computer literacy and documentation skills.
