Obstetricians and gynecologists offer specialized care for women, including comprehensive prenatal care, preventative health screenings and general gynecology. If necessary, the expertise of other gynecologic specialists is available in areas such as infertility, high-risk obstetrics and gynecologic cancer. A board-certified mental health specialist offers counseling related to women's issues or issues surrounding infertility at the Beachwood Family Health and Surgery Center.
A caregiver in this position works 7:00am—5:00pm.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
- Work in Fertility clinic and associated research laboratories under the direction of the In Vitro Fertilization Lab Director.
- Performs clinical and research duties in a high-volume in vitro fertilization program.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Bachelor's Degree Biological Science or Biomedical Engineering.
- 2 years research experience in cell biology or related field.
- OR Master’s degree in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science or medical technology may substitute for some of the experience requirement.
- Experience with tissue culture techniques and working with microscopes.
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Extensive experience in cell culture, immunofluorescent or molecular biology techniques.

Physical Requirements:
- Strong eye-hand coordination along with manual dexterity.
- High degree of dexterity to produce materials on a PC.
- Normal or corrected vision.
- Extensive sitting and frequent walking.
- Occasional lifting or carrying up to 25.

- Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
