The successful candidates(s) will either be a Registered General Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner. Experience in either Scrub or Recovery would be preferred but newly qualified practitioners and practitioners looking to develop a new skill, with a desire to work as part of our highly skilled team, will be considered.
A Registered Practitioner who will support the theatre teams by providing skilled assistance in obstetrics within the perioperative setting. A registered practitioner who will scrub for all maternity theatre cases and a practitioner who can provide post anaesthetic care.
An ability to apply theory to practice to provide a high standard of perioperative care to all women, ensuring policies and procedures are adhered to.
Willing to support and teach other members of the obstetric operating team.
Be able to lead a team in an operating theatre, utilising excellent communication skills to ensure efficiency and expediency whilst ensuring safe and effective care.
