About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our telehealth team in South Dakota. As a key member of our GLP-1 medical weight loss clinic, you will deliver patient-centered care through virtual consultations, focusing on empowering individuals to achieve their weight loss goals. This role is entirely remote, enabling you to work from the comfort of your home while making a significant impact on patients' lives.
The ideal candidate will have experience in obesity management, telemedicine, or primary care and a strong passion for improving patient outcomes. You will prescribe GLP-1 medications and provide ongoing guidance, education, and support to patients, ensuring a personalized and effective weight loss journey.
Responsibilities
- Conduct virtual consultations with patients to assess their medical history, weight loss goals, and eligibility for GLP-1 medications.
- Prescribe and manage GLP-1 medications in compliance with South Dakota regulations and company protocols.
- Provide personalized education on weight loss strategies, lifestyle changes, and the safe use of prescribed medications.
- Monitor patient progress through follow-up consultations, lab reviews, and regular communication.
- Collaborate with our clinical and administrative team to ensure a seamless patient experience.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions in our electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Adhere to Ojo Health platform guidelines and policies and complete all required training.
Qualifications
- Masters of Science in Nursing with a concentration in one of the following specialties: weight management, adult gerontology, acute care, family, or women's health.
- Active Nurse Practitioner license in South Dakota (additional states is a bonus!).
- Have Independent Prescriptive Authority.
- 1+ years of experience in clinical practice, exclusive of orientation/training.
- Excellent written and verbal communication with an emphasis on clarity and compassion.
- Comfortable prescribing a variety of compounded medications such as Semaglutide and Tirzepatide.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
