Antenatal Clinic are looking for an Assistant in Nursing to join their Logan Hospital team. The aim of the Maternity Service is to provide contemporary, evidenced based midwifery, neonatal and obstetric care to women and their families recognising individual needs and the concepts of partnership and choice. Perform and report on outcomes of care delivery as delegated by the RM. Contribute to the maintenance of a safe and secure environment of the staff and patients.

About The Role
The Assistant in Nursing (AIN) assists and supports Midwifery, Medical and Administration team in the provision of quality patient care.
The AIN works under the supervision and direction of the Midwife retaining accountability for personal actions in fulfilling their role.
The AIN Role Includes
- Chaperoning,
- Nursing tasks as delegated by midwives and/or medical officers
- Management and ordering of stock and equipment
- Tidying/ restocking of clinic spaces.
- Accessing pathology and ultrasound scan results as instructed
Additional tasks, within the scope of the AIN, will be delegated by the Midwifery Unit Manager (MUM) or MOPD team as per service needs.
The role will be required to participate in a roster up to six days a week, including public holidays. Deployment to Logan Hospital may be requested if there is operational need.
