Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support within a clinical environment. This position requires a blend of clinical skills and patient service, ensuring that patients receive the best possible care during their visits.

Responsibilities

Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
Perform laboratory procedures including specimen collection, processing, and blood sampling.
Conduct vital signs assessments and document patient information accurately.
Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment while adhering to aseptic techniques.
Utilize medical terminology effectively in communication with patients and staff.
Support patient service initiatives by addressing inquiries and providing information on services.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure efficient patient flow and care delivery.
Maintain equipment and supplies, ensuring all laboratory tools are properly sterilized and ready for use.

Skills

Proficient in laboratory techniques and procedures, with hands-on laboratory experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology.
Experience in phlebotomy, including venipuncture and blood sampling techniques.
Ability to perform specimen collection/processing with attention to detail.
Excellent patient care skills, demonstrating empathy and professionalism in all interactions.
Familiarity with clinical laboratory operations and hospital experience is advantageous.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and team members.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.63 - $26.05 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
