The Front Desk Receptionist is responsible for Check In or Check Out which will include verifying patients information, scheduling management of patients for any and all appointments, verifying demographics, data entry, collecting co-pays, reconciling batches, confirm appointments, and working directly with our Providers and along with the clinical staff.

This individual participates in the insurance verification process and assists with billing as needed.

Duties

Primarily check-in / check-out patients at the front desk.
Schedule patient appointments as directed by the physician.
Validate patient demographics at the time of check in.
Collect co-pays and balance daily pay sheet.
Answer phones and direct to appropriate person and/or department.
Scan patient documents, categorize and save all applicable forms into their appropriate locations on computer server as directed by supervisor.
Review, modify and save dictations.
Communicate with referring physician offices at each step of their patient’s care, from consultation to procedures, to follow up appointments and OB checks if applicable.
Work under Practice and Billing manager staff to provide necessary patient information for billing.
Effectively use eCW EMR practice management and billing system.
Process mail and package delivery and direct to appropriate personnel and/or department.
Maintain reception area, file room, lobby area and vestibule in neat, orderly and clean condition at all times, ensuring that brochures and business cards are stocked; magazines are in place, restock office supplies, etc. to provide a comfortable and presentable area for patients and visitors.

Days/Hours:

Open Schedule: Mon-Thur: 7:40 AM/8:30 AM-5:00pm or last patient | Friday: 7:40 AM-4:00 PM or last patient.

Reston: 1800 Town Center Drive (across from Reston Hospital)

Minimum of (2) years’ experience a must: All other candidates not meeting criteria will NOT be considered.

Education: High School Diploma/GED required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.50 - $19.50 per hour
