Our High-Risk Obstetrics Practice is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant/ Front Desk Receptionist to join our passionate and dedicated team. We have flexible scheduling options available for both full-time and part-time positions for a certified medical assistant/ front desk receptionist who will serve as a fundamental part of our growing, perinatology practice.

Our state-of-the-art facility provides services to the Washington D.C. metropolitan region and the surrounding areas. Our unique practice is centered in one Rockville, MD-based location.

Our group needs a self-motivated, energetic and friendly team player. The ideal candidate is reliable and responsible. This person would be able to multi-task while maintaining great attention to detail. Does this sound like you?

Though not all inclusive, here is a list of job duties you would perform:

- Obtaining and recording patient vitals

- Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens/ phlebotomy

- Instructing patients on proper medication administration and special diets

- Preparing and administering medications as directed by physician

- Properly documenting procedures and interactions in patient medical record

- Authorizing prescription refills as directed

- Greeting all patients and visitors

- Answering a multi-line phone system

- Maintaining and managing patient records

- Verifying insurance eligibility

- Filing, faxing, scanning and smiling

The ideal candidate will be compassionate and dedicated. The individual will possess knowledge of medical terminology and insurance requirements; will be detail oriented, dependable and will have the ability to adapt to changes in the fast-paced environment of maternal-fetal medicine.
