The Woman's Health Pavilion is a growing OB/GYN practice.

We have offices located in Queens and Nassau County.

We are currently seeking to fill a full-time position for our front office.

GENERAL PURPOSE:

Attend to patients on the phone and in person. Coordinate and organize appointments and documentation to facilitate the smooth running of the healthcare environment and support delivery of quality patient care.

MAIN JOB TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Greet patients
Register patients according to established protocols
Assist patients to compete all necessary forms and documentation including medical insurance.
Ensure patient information is accurate including billing information.
Inform patients of medical office procedures and policy.
Maintain and manage patient records.
Move patients through appointments as scheduled.
Answer incoming calls and deal with inquires.
Transfer calls as required.
Schedule patient appointments.
Collect co-pays and payments.
Get authorizations for sonograms, procedures and outside testing.
Obtain medical records from previous doctors for patients.
Respond and comply to requests for information.
Deal with incoming and outgoing post.
Complete other clerical duties as assigned.

SKILLS:

1. Able to speak/write English clearly and make self understood.
2. Good verbal and written communication skills.
3. Correct grammar, spelling, and legible writing.
4. Skills in answering the telephone in a pleasant and helpful manner and using multi-line phone system.
5. Able to read, understand, and follow oral and written instructions.
6. 10-key bys sight, add, subtract, multiply and divide.
7. Demonstrate compassion and caring in dealing with others.
8. Tactfulness/soft spoken.
9. Demonstrate willing to adapt to change.
10. Be capable to prioritize workload while remaining flexible.
11. Confident positive manner and appearance.
12. Type at 35-40 wpm.
13. Operate a phone system.
14. Correctable vision and hearing within normal range.
15. Knowledge of HIPPA, COMPLIANCE, OSHA.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

This job requires morning (7 AM- 3:30 PM or 7:30-4 PM), evening (12:30 PM - 9 PM) ,and rotating weekend shifts (7 AM- 2 PM). Are you able to work all required shifts?
